In folklore, dragonflies could stitch a liar's mouth closed - many species are called darners, even today. In truth, these lovely aerial acrobats are harmless unless you happen to be a tasty insect. This dragonfly is painted in watercolor on archival Arches hot press paper. Its 4x6 inch frame is made of sustainable rubberwood, harvested after the trees stop producing latex.
